  • gee, I tried doing exactly the same thing, but it wasn’t working for some reason. at least I see now that it’s how I thought. I must have had a typo or something.

I actually found a site late last night (AFTER doing that) that purports to have accomplished this with a lot less code changes, though he edited the core file (which some dont want to do) and honeslty I couldnt understand his/the directions to save my life. I also couldnt tell if his changes would validate if you used subcats, etc..

Theres prolly an easier way, but hell, no-one else did it.

    very nice, 10x.

i think the plugin form is the right way. I don’t believe a person should ever modify core files, unless they have the skill to do it themselves. the plugin is mucho useful, a great contribution to the community.

Hi as you know acording to this link
    and this
This function has been deprecated. That means it has been replaced by a new function or is no longer supported, and may be removed from future versions. All code that uses this function should be converted to use its replacement if one exists.

and WordPress 2.1 saw the introduction of a new and more inclusive template tag wp_list_categories, intended to replace wp_list_cats and list_cats.

so i think it would be very good if whooami upgrade his plugin. ?? thanks
