I can’t figure out how to let my customers pay me at all. Is the wp-invoice plugin supposed to just send invoices, or let people pay for the invoices as well?

You send link to your customers – they pay – you get money. It plugin for such things. Did you visit tutorial page?

I had the same issue.. Now you have to check your payment option when you create your invoice.You can find this at the bottom of the page, Accepted Payment, then check paypal.

No, you can send it if you’ll choose “Send Notification” on the back-end invoice page.
