[Plugin: WP Hide Post] could this be extended to work with categories too?

For people looking for a category excluder you can use the ACE plugin. Works well, but I too would love to see Hide Post make a Hide Category — as I like the logic behind Hide Post. So easy

The addition of category exclusion would be fantastic. I really like the simplistic approach of this plugin. “ACE” looks much more complicated than it needs to be.

Is it possible to hide a post from the “Recent Posts” widget? I want to have posts available by search but otherwise out of sight. When I hide a post on the front page, it also doesn’t show up in the “Recent Posts” widget in the sidebar on the frontpage. But it still shows up in the widget on every page besides the front page.
