Are there KML map parameters that i can specify for preventing the Pan and Zoom functionality?

In this way the map would be more user-friendly when used on mobile devices.

Also, is it possible to set a custom extent for the map?
(as opposed to solely setting a zoom level)

Many thanks again for your help Webaware

Currently, there’s nothing on this plugin for that. I just did a quick proof-of-concept test and can see that it’s easy enough to tell Google Maps not to show the zoom and pan controls and prevent dragging, and it looks easy enough to prevent double-click zooming too (I already have something for suppressing scroll-button zooming). So, in theory I could add options for this easily enough.

At first I thought, “why not just use an image?” but I can see how it would be useful to have a fixed map with active info windows and links, so I’ll add this to the plugin when I get a chance. I’m flat out this week with paid work, but hope to be able to look at this on Sunday (Australian time).

But not tonight, as I’ve already finished my second bourbon ?? and SWMBO wants to eat chicken curry and watch a silly Bad Robot TV show.

    cheers,
    Ross
