  • Hi Adam,

This looks like a great plugin that we are thinking of using. Could you advise if it is possible to mod it slightly so that it simply returns the number of results. E.g. ‘There are 5 stores in your local area’ rather than the actual results, as we want people to sign up for the site once they know we have the relevant info.

Thank you and sorry I haven’t started a new thread – it seems to follow from chriskemm’s quaestion above. Feel free to move it! ??

    Hi mrjcgoodwin

This is certainly doable… a simple check on logged in status should suffice or even making the results view capability based…

I’ve nearly completed a premium version of the plugin which I plan to make available for somewhere in the region of 10-20 GB pounds… if this is a feature that would interest you I would include it in that

This would definitely be something we would be interested in using.

The only problem is timescale. I am working on a site which has to go live in the next few weeks just after new year. Can you recommend a quick hack to the existing codebase that will output the number of results only. We will then simply email users the relevant details as initially we aren’t expecting huge numbers and are phasing the launch of the site – at first its more to just drum up interest.

But we would then definitely want to upgrade to this more dynamic functionality once you are ready with your premium plugin, and I’d be more than happy to help you test it and showcase it once it’s up and running.

email me on adam ‘at’ sargant.net and I will look at making a quick fix and emailing it to you as a zip file

Brilliant thanks – just fired you an email now.

Hi, first let me thankyou for a simple and easy to use plugin that does exactly what you want it to do. I’m having just one problem at the moment and that is that the map is loading behind my wordpress header which simply does’nt look right. I’ve only just started this website so not much to see yet but please feel free to take a look.
    Thanks very much
    Angela

    Hi Angela

Looks to me to be an issue with your theme rather than the plugin. Your style sheeting is setting the zindex of the #branding id used by the header to 9999… presumably to ensure it appears above anything! Try editing style.css and changing value of x-index for the if #branding to, say, something like 1500

I’m going to mark this topic as resolved as it would be helpful if people raised new topics for new issues (and would save sending emails to previous contributors that had nothing to do with their problem ?? )
