    If anyone is interested I figured out a way to have multiple versions installed. Kind of hackish but works well!

    hi,

    can you tell me how you did it?
    I have the sort of the same question.

    I have 5 product pages with each a slider. Now it shows all the posts on every page, instead of per page a categorie of posts…

    regards.

    Hi if you can please email me with how to do multiple instances – would be much obliged. Thank you!

    I would love to know this hack as well…. ty in advance.

    gosh Im so sorry I missed the marisqas request, its been a while but I started with copying the plugin folder, I put a ‘2’ after the name and re-uploaded it, then in the following file: featured-content-slider.php, I changed all references to /wp-content/plugins/wp-featured-content-slider into /wp-content/plugins/wp-featured-content-slider2

    In this file you can also change the text at the top to be named in a way you know the difference when you look at it in the plugins directory.

    I also changed this line in content-slider.php
    $direct_path = get_bloginfo(‘wpurl’).”/wp-content/plugins/wp-featured-content-slider”;

    to reflect the new path.

    I think there is more but Im not sure it will be necessary. If you do this and it still doesnt work I will look deeper to see if i had to call anything else #2 in my old files.

    There has to be some other modifications because I can see in several places it is marking the post with a custom tag so the slider can find it in a query. I will see what I can do while playing around and post what happens.
