[Plugin: WP Featured Content Slider] Automatically include content from a particular category

I love the simplicity of this plugin and hope someone can help me. I’d like to use it to scroll reviews of an itunes app on the home page. I’m currently importing these reviews from an RSS feed and it’s creating a post for each review. What I’d like is to automatically have these posts included in the content slider.

Is there a way to auto-check the “Feature in Featured Content Slider?” option for every post in a specific category? I know it’s not available by default, but does anyone know how to hack this to make it work?

Even better would be to import to the slider directly from RSS but I’m not geting my hopes up.
