    That’s the intended functionality. As far as FB says in docs that’s the way it should work. They’re light on the actual terminology for each but since OGP has been out it’s been fine the way it is now. https://ogp.me for any ogp info

    Dear Chuck:

    As I Know, only homepage should be treated as og:type “website”.

    Then static pages and posts should be treated as “article”.

    That is the only way ogp tags will be logical in a wordpress website environment.

    Please, what would be the way to accomplish this in your plugin?
