    Hi,

My site has a splash page on the root that is just a simple html/php file. It has no FB OG values defined.

When a user clicks through to the blog they are taken to root/news/ , however blog posts appear with the URL root/blog-post.html

The problem arises when linking or Liking a blog post/article as the facebook API tries to pull OG values from the root where no OG values exist.

It will only work if I specify the URL as root/news/blog-article.html – then this pulls the correct values from your plugin. But this is only going to happen if I share the link manually on facebook and manually edit the path to include the “/news/” sub directory.

    the site is defytheocean[dot]com

    I’m sure you’ll see what I’m talking about…

    Thanks,

    Chris

I have now fixed this by amending my permalinks structure in wordpress with the prefix “/news” .

Thanks…. This is a great plugin and exactly what I want…
