• I am trying to turn paypal live. The account I am trying to use is a Paypal Website Pro account. The error I am getting is “security header not valid”.

    I have checked and the environment is on “Live”. The credentials are correct and work on another site using an ecommerce plugin. I have tried other standard paypal account credentials and they work.

    Any thoughts?

  • @digitalmcgrath did you work this out?

    The only time I’ve seen this particular error pop up is when you are attempting to use live credentials on sandbox or vice versa.

    Has anyone gotten this plugin to work with PayPal Payments Pro (or another payment gateway like 2Checkout that doesn’t take a ticket purchaser offsite)?

    Thanks.

    @rtd2 I was never able to get it to work. I ended up letting EventBrite handle the registration and ticket process and just embedded the EventBrite code into the page.

    @digitalmcgrath thanks for the very quick response. That is a shame. I use Eventbrite, but I want to move away from it, as I find they push their brand too much to my customers.

    BTW are you still interested in PayPal Payments Pro integration if, say, I can find a developer to carry it out?

    I just have one client at the moment that has events and since he drank the EventBrite kool-aid, I can’t get him away from it.

    @digitalmcgrath I hear you. Thanks.

    EventBrite takes a lot of fees. They take $.99 per ticket plus 2.5% while PayPal alone just takes the 2.5% or whatever. This plugin is MUCH better than Eventbrite! Im glad i made the choice i did…
