[Plugin: WP e-Commerce] Issues uploading product images

Hello,
I am using Boutique theme from Elegant Themes and have downloaded the WP-e-Commerce plugin. I don’t have a problem adding a new product, until I try and add a picture of the product. When I click on Manage Product Images, my entire screen grays out, though I can see my screen behind it. This also happens when I try to upload an image by clicking the “image upload” icon at the top of the editor. I took a screen shot so you can see what I’m talking about. The folks at Elegant Themes haven’t been too swift to help, so I’m hoping someone here can.
Am I missing something? Is there another plugin I need? Gah!
