• WordPress e-commerce breaks something every. single. time. I update it to a new version. Last update wiped out all the prices in my store.

New version of e-commerce asks to update the database then says ‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.’ There are MULTIPLE old, unanswered threads on getshopped.org’s site about this. (like there have been for every other issue I’ve had with it.)

This is not a ready for prime-time plugin. This is half-baked and buggy and thank GOD the person I built the site for is a friend and not just a paying client, or I’d have to be giving all their money back.

  • Sorry to hear that, but the latest WP e-Commerce 3.8 it’s pretty decent version IMHO. Here is what I came up for and it’s built with WPEC:
    Product Page https://ihayag.com/maupay/store-page/
    Product Slider https://ihayag.com/maupay/
    Single Product Page https://ihayag.com/maupay/products-page/casual/signature-shirt-102/

I’ve never had any problems with wp-ecommerce on updating – obviously I had to update a lot of the hacks I used to give the store extra ummmph

But now that it has gone to cutom post types it’s even better than ever. you can use a lot of the standard wordpress calls to deliver the products how you want and integrate it fully with wordpress and standard queries.

As a free plugin it offers a reasonable amount of out of the box features but for wordpress developers it’s a real dream to play with.

i’m new to wp-ecommerce – tryin to solve a problem for a new client… not convinced it’s solvable, as it seems getshopped.org doesn’t provide a ton of support.

hoping one of you recent posters might shed some light…

the client recently upgraded everything – theme, WP & wp-ecommerce – and all of a sudden the “checkout” button has stopped working. no errors or anything appear, it just doesn’t do ANYTHING.

would love some insights, cuz we’re getting nothing from getshopped.org

if your theme have some jquery that’s one and other is the installed plugin or plugins.

Or maybe you’ve still have the old wpec theme and it’s calling them instead of the new one.

One remedy is to copy the new wpec theme to your wp themes folder.

    cheers!

Having big problems too, I have just installed and activated the wp-ecommerce plugin and now got a blank admin page. Has anyone had this and been able to fix before?
