• I’m hoping to use this plugin on a client’s site. Since the client has a large database of products, the key will be whether I can import them via CSV. I’ve tested importing a sample CSV file on a sample blog with this plug-in to see if it will work; so far it doesn’t. When I upload the CSV file, it only imports the category headings from the 1st line of the CSV–but no products. When I upload another CSV file with the headings removed and the first product on the first line, it imports no data. Here are screenshots of what I’m doing: https://bit.ly/cf6e5d Is there a solution?

  • I am having the same exact problem. I also replicated it on a brand new install I did locally.

My suggestion would be to find the previous version that worked properly.

I have mentioned this on Get Shopped Forums. But from the looks of things they have some work a head of them. . .

The CSV upload isn’t working at all.

It will upload into the database and only if you filter the result to the actual category they were imported it will the products show. It also will not show the products on the actual site.

It won’t let you edit, delete or change anything about the uploaded products.

Where can I get an older version of the e-commerce plugin?

    Hi nbierma,

Have you considered using my solution for bulk importing Products into WP e-Commerce?

There is alot of information and positive feedback from the WP e-Commerce community on the Get Shopped Support Forum (https://www.getshopped.org/forums/).

I believe it was two versions ago that it worked for importing .csv. This is a major issue for me and could be a deal breaker for me using it on my site. My csv download brings in about 1/2 of the available fields, but I haven’t been able to figure out why one field is downloaded and the other is not downloaded. Specifically I’m trying to download my sales history, and it is not bringing in the customer name or contact fields, but it is bringing in what they have purchased.

These guys are doing great work, just a few more bugs to fix up!
