• Oops I had placed this under WP-dtree 3.5 tags and I don’t think anyone saw it.

I’ve been using dtree for some time on different sites. But for some reason on my site wallpaper.oceanmoon.com it stopped working. I’ve tried the change themes idea, did not work. None of the list show up in the preview or on the site. It was working up until about a week ago.

    Any ideas?

  • Same problem here. It was literally working fine on my site two hours ago and suddenly it stopped, and I get this error:

    Message: ‘wp_dTree’ is undefined
    Line: 73
    Char: 1
    Code: 0
    URI: https://www.sonyaschultzphotography.com/

I don’t have a clue what that means or why it suddenly decided to quit working. The only change I’ve made to the site this morning is to change the logo.

ukmelia, I was not getting any errors and have not had any ideas on how to fix this issue. It’s had been on going for about a week when I did this post.

So, instead of waiting any longer I did a bunch of looking around for a replacement and I found “Collapsing Categories” by Robert Felty. It’s what I am using now at wallpaper.oceanmoon.com and will be replacing wp-dtree on my other site soon.

Here are the links for the plugin.

Thanks for the heads up on that! I tried 14 different plugins this afternoon trying to sort this out and was so frustrated. This one works, bit clunky, but it made my client happy so that’s all that matters eh? ??

If wp-dtree was working and then suddenly did not (especially if it says “wp_dTree is undefined” it’s likely you’ve got some broken javascript somewhere. (often from installing another plugin or editing your theme).

It’s easy to test – disable everything non-standard (including theme…), clear your cache and see if wp-dtree “unbreaks”.
