[Plugin: WP-DB-Backup] Database Backup Scheduling functionality broken

  • I’ve been a long time user of the WP-DB Backup plugin but have recently noticed that the email backup scheduling feature does not work. I’ve tried scheduling a backup multiple times but no database dump is sent to the specified email address.

    I did a manual backup via email and it was successful. A gzipped .sql dump was attached, so nothing host wise is restricting the email.

    Does the plugin require an update for the 3.x WordPress releases?

  • Some people are finding issues with version 2.2.3, try 2.2.2 and see if that works for you.

    Turns out the plugin “Maintenance Mode” was preventing the database to be sent on a schedule. I had it enabled since I was designing a new theme for my blog but since disabling the Maintenance mode plugin and scheduling a daily database backup being sent to email it has worked fine.
