    We use the free version of Content Control on a multisite network and it works fine. The problem started when the plugin asked to “run some database upgrades.” Of the more than three dozen sites in the network, three of them could not run the upgrade. It returns an error message that says to check the logs, but there’s nothing in any logs anywhere on the site that indicates what the problem is. I contacted the devs and they started out responsive, but as soon as I sent details they stopped responding. I emailed them weekly for about a month, but never got a response.

    If there was an issue with us using the free version, they never said anything about it. The error wouldn’t even be a big deal if the upgrade notification didn’t also block me from accessing plugin settings or restrictions!

    Anyway, the plugin works very well most of the time, just don’t expect much support if you encounter a problem.
