How is the video embedded on the post that doesn’t show the video as expected? Make sure you paste the Youtube URL into the editor without anything around it (such as whitespace or HTML tags). When it comes to blocks, make sure to use the standard WordPress Youtube block. You can compare the code behind your working blog post and the one that isn’t working, then determine how it differs. I suspect that there’s some non-standard formatting, e.g. introduced by BuddyPress or some other plugin on your site.

    Hey Kevin,

Thanks for getting back to me.

The video does work as expected but the thumbnail isn’t showing. Rather, I see the thumbnail as if the plugin isn’t there: https://snipboard.io/rY4WBO.jpg

Plus, if I go to edit the post, I can actually see the thumbnail fine in Gutenberg: https://snipboard.io/5GOsYi.jpg

    Thank you

You’re right that it looks like it’s working in your editor, hm… I can’t do much about this because I’m not providing deeper technical support. I can only repeat that you should check the code that is saved in your editor and how it compares to the working page’s code. Maybe also disable other plugins on your site to figure out if there’s one that’s causing a conflict.

OK, I re-embedded it and seems to work, thank you!
