[Plugin: WordTwit] Plugin Stopped Working This Morning Fsockopen error

Nothing has changed on my install and the plugin was working fine this morning, now all of a sudden I’m getting an error;

Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known in /XXXXXX/XXXXXXX/public_html/wp-includes/class-snoopy.php on line 1148

Is this a bit.ly issue??

I also see this in Wordtwit settings page:
