[Plugin: wordTube] Sidebar widgets & footer don't appear after upgrading to WP 3.01

    Today I upgraded my site to WordPress 3.0.1 and WordTube 2.3.1.

    Now, with the plugin activated, my sidebar widgets disappear and my footer also doesn’t show on the home page of my site.

    When I deactivate the plugin, everything returns to normal.

    I don’t know if this is significant, but I also upgraded to the latest version of the JW player in an effort to resolve an earlier difficulty (the site returned a server 500 error before upgrading to the latest version of WordTube following the upgrade to WP 3.01). So I’m now using version 5.2 of the JW player.

    For what it’s worth, I considered that this might be a problem with the theme I’m using, but switching themes didn’t help (I am currently using a Woo Theme but also had Thesis installed on the site, so I activated Thesis but had the same problem with the widgets and the footer).

    I’m wondering if somehow a <div> tag isn’t closing properly or if there’s some similar layout issue occurring, but I’m not sure where to start digging.

    On further research with Firebug, this isn’t just a matter of divs not getting closed… something is causing WP not to even generate the sidebar widgets and footer contents.

    This seems to be resolved. I’m labeling it inexplicable, but all I did for it to ultimately go away was deactivate all plugins, activate a different theme, then reactivate the one I plan to use (from WooThemes).

    Then, with my widgets working, I reactivated the WordTube plugin. It’s working correctly at this point.
