[Plugin: WordPress.com Stats] can you use dashboard widget api?

I use the great plugin Dashboard Commander and the author provided me with a great workaround to control the stats dashboard widget with it , but It would be even nicer if WordPress.com Stats used the Dashboard Widgets API, no?
