• say, I was thinking, I could use this plugin to transfer my mediawiki into wp.

But when I take the markup and transfer, it will show me page exactly as it looks like when I click edit in mediawiki.

am I doing something wrong or is this not what this plugin can do?

  • I’m sorry to say this but we have no intention of using Wiki Markup for styling things like text. Wiki Markup for that kind of thing must die – we’re into human Markup ??

If you wanted to code a module for our Plugin that interpreted Wiki Markup that would be very cool!! Maybe one day we could look at that if nobody else jumps to the task.

We’re going to integrate WP Wiki with Front-End Editor and provide a jwysiwyg (a TinyMC alternative) interface for styling text.

If you’re talking about shortcodes for creating new pages etc… the existing codes are all documented on the wp-wiki.org website ??

hm, I am not particular to the wiki-markup but I must say, a few things like the auto.references are nice.

wp-footnotes is a great tool and does the auto-references I was looking for.

wiki page links ist another plugin that does internal linking and provides link to create page if it is not there yet.

    Both work with 2.8
