• Hi Joost

I know a lot of people are reporting problems with the TinyMCE missing or the content area being white but actually displaying code along with the content (in white).

I noticed something that I haven’t seen reported before. There seems to be a connection with user level. If I log in as admin i see everything as expected and all works fine. If I log in as editor or below the problems arise.

So I upgraded to the latest version and thought the problem was solved at all user levels. Except it isn’t. Post editing is absolutely fine but page editing still shows the problems mentioned above.

I have gone through the process of deactivating plugins etc and it is definitely Yoast SEO that is causing the issues. And I don’t seem to have any sort of javascript libraries running other than what your plugin may need so the solutions tied to that idea dont work for me.

For now I have deactivated Yoast SEO so that my client can use their site again but its less than ideal as your plugin is essential (and very good).

    thanks

    James

    Hi Joost

I have run the latest update and still no change sadly.

If my users are set as administrators then they see everything as intended. But if I set them as editors (which is what they should be) then they get the seo functionality on posts fine but on pages it removes the tinymce, turns all text white, shows the html in the visual editor and removes the grey wordpress admin bar at the top of the screen.

I have deactivated plugins etc and done all the usual things and its definitely your SEO tool that is breaking the system.

I really need some suggestions or I am going to have to replace it with something else (which I really dont want to do)

    thanks

    James

    Dear all

My problem was resolved by removing a malware detection plugin. However it may not be the same as your problem.

    Hope to have helped.

    Hey,
I’m getting the exact same problem as James is describing, which means I can’t use this great plugin at all.
    Hoping for a quick fix.
    Thanks for the great work,
    yelly
