[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] The page isn't redirecting properly Can't open my site

since installing WordPress SEO and configuring it like https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-install-and-setup-wordpress-seo-plugin-by-yoast/ suggests my website https://christmasshortstory.com cannot be reached.
this is the error I get
“The page isn’t redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.”I deleted WordPress SEO and everything went back to normal.
I than re-enabled WordPress SEO and the error came back
Next I disabled all of my plugins except for WordPress SEO and the error remained.
Thereafter I disabled WordPress SEO so that all my Plugins are disabled and I was able to get onto my sites.
I have the same problem on both sites were I installed WordPress SEO.How can I fix this?
