[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Social Networks No Longer Pick Up Meta Description

  • WordPress version: 3.4
    WordPress SEO version: 1.2.3

    I did this: Entered a meta description & Post Excerpt

    I expected the plugin to do this: Send the Meta Description when requested by Social Network. This is how it was until a version or two ago. I’m not sure when it stopped working.

    Instead it did this: Social Networks show the Post Excerpt and not the Meta Description
