I ticked the box to hide categories from the sitemap and boom it’s back again… No clue what triggered it.

Well at least you have found a solution. That is until the next version of SEO comes out with bug fixes and you have to remember to switch categories back on…;-)

(I have a blog with about 19.000 posts .. works great)

So I submitted my sitemap to the google webmaster tools, and tested but I get the following:

How do I fix this?????

Same problem with 404 here. Tried everything suggested but no luck.

I have this as well.

It was a plugin conflict with Next Gen Gallery.

No matter what settings were chosen in either plugin, the site map errors;

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed

Confirmed… NextGen breaks XML sitemap.. after I disabled nextgen, xml is working fine

Thanks for finding out about the NextGen conflict! that has saved me hours of work ??

I’ve sent a support request to NextGEN so hopefully they provide an update that fixes it, I’ll post it here if they do

OK, I didnt have any problem with older nextgen 1.9 version… new version is not good and it needs some love from devs

NextGEN got back to me, it will be fixed in the next release which will be soon ??

Meanwhile they say if you need xml sitemaps asap then disable the Yoast one and use ‘Google XML Sitemaps’ which does work

I’ve got a few sites affected myself.

I have the same issue and read and tried all the fixes for this but, I’m not going to go through every php file and check for white spaces! (I did check the obvious ones and they all seem to have them) I switched off the Categories Taxonomy for now which seems to work but, I didn’t need to before.
