• Everytime I post a new article I use the generate SEO title, or enter one in. I remove the Sites title from the end.. For Example

POST ARTICLE TITLE – SITE TITLE so it looks like

    POST ARTICLE TITLE

however when I publish it, if I look at the title description of the page is lists as POST ARTICLE TITLE – SITE TITLE

Any ideas what I need to change so the Site Title is stripped from each posts title?

  • Having the same problem.

For further clarification, I use the “force rewrite” option in “Titles and Metas” section because otherwise my titles get all messed up. It appears that for pages where I’ve specified a Page Title, Google displays PAGE NAME – SITE TITLE. This includes the Home Page, which is displayed in search results as SITE TITLE, since there is no page name for the home page.

Pages where I leave the SEO Title field blank appear fine.

I am having the same issue as bangthebook. Can anyone shed light on how to fix this?

    Thanks
