I’ve set up the SEO plug-in by Yoast, but had a question about search engine results and indexing.

Namely, I have a post about Lana Del Rey.

I adjusted the meta description in the post, using Yoast’s plug-in, so that it would appear like this:

Lana Del Rey – Off to the Races – 80 BPM – Run Hundred
    https://www.runhundred.com/workout-music/lana-del-rey-off-to-the-races-80-bpm/
02 Apr 2012 – Rock your workout with the latest from Lana Del Ray.

But, when you actually Google it, what turns up is this:

Lana Del Ray – Off To The Races – 80 BPM – Run Hundred
    https://www.runhundred.com/workout…/lana-del-ray-off-to-the-races-80-b…
Lana Del Ray – Off To The Races – 80 BPM. Categories: 2010s / 70-89 BPM / College Radio / Electronic / Pop. Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or …

The sitemap is fine. And, I’ve got it set up in Webmaster Central. And, if I post it to Facebook, they pick up the correct metadata and run it as it appears in the top example. But, it’s been a couple weeks and Google is still pulling old meta descriptions.

What can I do to fix this? Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    This has since been resolved.

For what it’s worth, I’d had some code in the theme that was oveerriding the code in the plugin.
