    I found the
    if ( isset( $options['hideeditbox-' . $pt] ) && $options['hideeditbox-' . $pt] ) but its still annoying to add this to you serialized options.
    Even when using wpseo_options filter it’s annoying.

    Still I’m glad to see you thought about a non code way to disable it

    If you would like to remove the columns for all users without any coding you could use Codepress Admin Columns. You have the option to show/hide, re-order and re-label any column. Also works for the added columns of WordPress SEO by Yoast.

    I didn’t see this but the columns can be switched on and off with the ‘screen options’
