• Hi there,
I just started using WP SEO. It’s a little over my head but I whacked my way through the setup with help from the tutorial and help from this: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-install-and-setup-wordpress-seo-plugin-by-yoast/
But now I’m having a weird problem with my facebook page that is associated with our site.
Both my client and I are admins on the fb page, and both of us have our own “person accounts”. Before, either of us could post on the page or comment on posts as ourselves (the people) when we have “use facebook as person” selected.

I set up WP SEO “social” settings with the following:
add open graph meta data: checked
select a page to use as fb admin: Living Green with Baby (our page)
select a person to use as fb admin: none
    then save of course.
I can access the open graph data (though I thought I could do this before just through the wp admin/theme settings).

Then I noticed the above issue. every time i tried to comment on one of my client’s posts on the Living Green with Baby fb page, it was coming from the page, not me, even though i was using fb “as myself”. I would think it was just some new fb page thing except *she* is able to post as herself.

I tried changing to making myself as fb admin (as above) and that didn’t seem to work. Maybe I should try that again.

Please advise b/c that would be not so good if i couldn’t post on our page as myself.

Also, when I clicked “clear fb data” I think all of the likes we had (not that many but we just launched) disappeard, though the data still exists in the open graph info. is there any way to restore it??

Do I even need this “social” section or to check use open graph meta data? I already had access to fb open graph data within fb for our page. What does this do exactly? It’s not in any of the tutorials b/c I guess it was recently added. Any clues??

Thank you for any help you can provide on this.

    michelle

FYI I am using a newer Woo theme, Delicious Magazine. I have the “use third party plugin data” selected in the theme’s SEO area, and they even say that The Yoast SEO plugin is compatible.
