[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Can't change titles or meta description

I have WordPress SEO plugin version 1.2.8.5
The plugin is still working, but there is one peculiarity that confuses me:
For Pages, the widget with General/Page Analysis/Advanced/Social works fine.
With Posts (where I need it most!) the widget simply shows the title bar (‘WordPress SEO by Yoast’) and nothing else, and neither will it open.
Any solutions on this one??
