• For some reason on some pages I can get the focus keyword “check list” under the general tab to give me all green highlights indicating my article heading, page titles, page content, ect are good to go. Other pages, specifically my article heading and page title just will no go green, and from what I can tell, I have done the exact same freaking thing on the last page as I did on the current page that isn’t working. Has anyone dealt with this issue, or know what is cause my problems?

    Thanks

Also under the “advanced tab” many times I get the red warning sign saying my “keyword is not in the first paragraph” When it is CLEARLY in the first sentence.

Example: The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy, make sure the topic is clear immediately.

    Keyword is: Home Cleaning solutions

First sentence of the first paragraph is:

“Our home cleaning solutions approach is simple:”

    Very frustrating.

Here is another question relating to Yoast SEO. Does it not look stupid when the keyword page title and article heading have to be the same exact thing, kind of repetitive?

    example:
    https://www.minutewomen.net/cleaning-services/home-cleaning-solutions/

hoi this is by me also happening
The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy, make sure the topic is clear immediately.
    it`s in the first paragraph.
No heading tags appear in the copy
    it`s there????

what can i do about it i looked at athour post and page and there are a view things the same but for one reesen it happends for one its working for the athour not???/

It happens the same to me. I sent a mail to the Yoast builder but he hasn’t reply me yet. In my personal option this plugin is just a tool. If the HTML code says that you keyword is in the first paragraph is because it is. I wouldn’t worry much about that.
Good luck with the SEO job!

Same here, both the Post Title and Heading are still RED, works some time and some time not.

I have no problems with titles, but the article heading periodically shows in red, even though focus keywords are in the article heading.

Also, the URL often shows red, because it sometimes doesn’t register the hyphens between words as spaces.

Same here, hoping for a solution.

Although I would think optimalization itself works, despite the indication, since the keyword is clearly there, google must see it.

Having the same issues with the article heading also not recognizing images, I have 4 on the page. Anyone have a fix

Ditto on the “keyword not showing up in first paragraph of copy”. My keyword(s) are right there.

    HAS ANYONE found a solution?

On another thread, it was suggested that to get the plug in to actually reflect the changes we made (based on the suggestions the plug in told us we need) to go to Settings => Permalinks (WP permalinks, not Yoast SEO permalinks) and change what ever value we have currently to any value other than the one it was set to…
    save changes
hope doing so forces the plug in to see

“Oh, you DID put the target keyword phrase in the title, in the heading etc”

After we see that the plug in “sees” what we just did,
go back to Settings => Permalinks and change it back to where it was

    Hope that helps

Same problem, also posts with green lights have changed to amber/yellow. Changing WP Permalinks settings made no difference. Example: Page analysis tab shows:

There are 1 words contained in the body copy. This is far too low and should be increased (post contains 665 words)

The keyword density is 0%, which is a bit low, the keyword was found 0 times (presumably because it can’t see any of the text)

The page title contains keyword / phrase, but it does not appear at the beginning; try and move it to the beginning (it’s in the first sentence)

Have not installed any new plug ins – this started happening randomly since the last update 1.2.5

    Hmmm?

The new version of WordPress SEO by Yoast thinks the page title as stated at the top of the edit page is the heading. I would not change the title just to get the green light.

I also get “The keyword doesn’t appear in the first paragraph of the copy” although it does.

Can someone tell me what “article heading” refers to? Is the an h2 tag? if not what is it referring to ??
Thank you for your kind reply.
