[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] 2 things: XML Parsing Error and Problem w/ Blog Title

  • Hi there,

    I’ve been using the WordPress SEO plugin by Yoast, and I have the following errors:

    1) When I access the sitemap at:
    https://rogerclapp.com/sitemap_index.xml
    I get an XML parsing error:
    “XML or text declaration not at start of entity”

    2) The plugin has never been able to change the title of my blog page (It’s just blank) at: https://rogerclapp.com/blog/
    I’ve updated to the latest version (1.1.5) of the plugin (as there was supposed to be a fix for this), but it still doesn’t work. I’ve tried ticking ‘rewrite titles’ but this didn’t work either.
    All the other page titles seem to work fine.

    I know a lot of people had this problem with the blog titles, did anybody get this to work after the update?

  • looks like you got your sitemap working. I am having the same parsing error you had…any ideas on how you got things working?
