[Plugin: WordPress Popular Posts] Remove the (s) in view(s) and comment(s)

I wondered if it’s possible to remove the (s) from the stats display?
At the moment it looks like this:

Poster 1 3 comment(s) | 62 view(s)
Poster 6 0 comment(s) | 1 view(s)

Surely it should rather display 1 comment or 3 comments, not 1 comment(s) and 3 comment(s)
