• Thanks for your time. I want to have a Multisite with separate Domain names for each Site/Blog.
So let’s say this is the setup:

WP MU Install with Subfolder Setting:

    https://network.com

    Individual Site:

    https://network.com/food

Instead I want this Site’s URL to be

    https://food.com

If I use the MU Domain Mapping PlugIn to add the New Domain food.com, do I check the box Primary Domain in this case? What is the meaning and what different scenarios does it cause?

    At https://support.wpengine.com/how-to-add-new-sites-with-different-domains-in-wordpress-multisite/ it states

If the domain you are adding is the primary domain of the site, make sure to check the primary option.

What does primary domain of the Site mean? Is it the primary domain of the WP MU Network (as opposed to network.com)?

The primary domain is the one that a visitor will be redirected to if they use one of the other urls (ex. the original url) associated with the site.
