Hi, Thanks for the plugins. It worked me fine when I migrated from localhost to Server. Now I am trying to migrate from server to server but when Begin the migration step 1 it doesn’t show me the file list and my browser crashed. I have used Explorer and Chrome, three types of internet conections and many PCs but the problem persist. Please, help me. My hosting for both servers is Go daddy.

If your installation consists of so many files, JS file tree will most likely crash. I’m looking for a better alternative right now to replace it in the next release.

    Migration Assistant
    Connecting to atl.com.pe:21… Failed!
    Operation terminated…

Please check your FTP connection details on the settings page.

Unlike FileZilla or any other FTP client for that matter, WordPress Move only supports real FTP accounts. So make sure that you are using a plain FTP account and not an SSH account. Also, WordPress Move does not support secure connections either, so your server will be a little disappointed if it expects a secure connection request from WordPress Move ??

    Hola Mert,
I use a plain FTP Account, All is ok said Godaddy. Go Daddy washed his hands of this problem.
I only has a chance, copy all the file generated by Backup Manager (zips and sql ) from the source server and move into /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-move/backup on the target server, then use Migration Assistant/Restore.

Is it correct or are there another precaution? since the are different domains how can I change to the new domain or this is automatic.

First, either archive or delete all the existing backups in your Backup Manager to not deal with unnecessary backup files.

Use the Migration Assistant and fill in the Change Domain Name (Optional) section before hitting the Start Migration button. That way, all instances of your old domain name in the database will be replaced with the new one. Once you see all backup files are generated and the connection to the other server failed; open up your FTP client, navigate to /wp-content/plugins/wordpress-move/backup/, download all the backup files there and upload them to the same directory on the server you are migrating to. Then you can use Restore to complete the migration ??
