[Plugin: WordPress Move] Changing the site name/page title

    Hi,
    Thank you for this fantastic plugin. It makes my life so much simpler. I’m kind of new to WordPress, and so have been trying to find out how to get the page title (in the tab) to change to the name of the new domain name.

    You’ve mentioned that it’s not a complete migratory tool, there is some manual tinkering necessary. Of course that’s fine, but I don’t seem to be able to find out how to do that manual tinkering easily. Is there anyway you could tell me, or let me know the pages to read to get the job done?

    Do you mean the Site Title? If so, you can change it from the General Settings page which is under the Settings menu on the dashboard.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your answer. Yes I mean the site title. I copied it from my other site to my new website, and I just checked, with a new installation the title in the tab (next to the favicon) changes when I change the site title box, but in the migrated website, it doesn’t.

    My website is https://financialmortgageadvisor.com and https://learnerdriverinsurancev.com

    You’ll notice that although the page looks great, the title in the browser tab still says financialmortgageadvisor.com. You posted somewhere else that we should change the database name or something. Does this issue have something to do with that?

    Everything else seems to be working well. I’d be happy to give you access to give you a better idea of what is going on if you wanted (if you aren’t too busy).

    I just wanted to say that it is probably a bug in the theme as the backend has changed to the correct title, but the front end hasn’t. I’ll look into that. Thanks!!

    Hi, Sorry. I’m dumber than I look… (no really!). I got it. It had nothing to do with the plugin at all and it wasn’t a bug either. It was another plugin.

    This one plugin has made my life infinitely easier. I have no idea why you haven’t had more ratings for this, but then there are a lot of injustices in the world ??
