• Hi,
Just installed WPMP on top of my newly upgraded WP3 website. This is an amazing plug-in. My site immediately appears “mobile” on my Blackberry. Will try soon with Nokia and other mobile devices.

I found 2 issues. First, when I check with mobiReady, the result is BAD (score 2), with issues such as XHTML-MP, mark-up failed to validate, and a lot of other failure and warning. Meanwhile, your plug-in page claim that the result will be the high score of 5. Did I do something wrong?

Second issue is with barcode. When I put the barcode widget on my site, I removed the URL setting to make it dynamic (as per the plug-in explanation). There’s no problem when I scan the barcode in an individual article, the mobile device directly goes to that article. But when I scan the barcode in the homepage, my mobile phone doesn’t go to the homepage. Instead, it goes to the LAST article shown in the homepage. Is this a bug?

If you want to try yourself:

    Non-English site: https://www.irvingevajoan.com

    Thanks!

  • Had the same bad results in mobiReady so moved to WordPress Mobile Edition which is a much simpler plugin. Losing many options was countered by a mobiReady result of 4 out of 5…

I suspect it is not so much the plugin as it is the mobile theme it uses. WP Mobile Edition uses the Carrington Mobile theme. Can one make Mobile Pack use this theme instead of the included one?

Yep, installed the Carrington Mobile theme and then could select it on the WMP admin page. Now mobiReady.com reports 5/5 results! ??
