• Using WP 2.8.4.

I installed this plugin a few weeks ago and it worked fine except the admin section. So I deactivated it until I saw the new upgrade. Upgraded it, more issues.

If I have it set to browser detection, nothing changes. On my Blackberry, it still shows the original theme. If I have it set to domain mapping, the regular site works fine, but I’m having issues in the admin section.

I had to edit the file so that it would direct to my admin pages, since they are in a folder “wp” not just at the root. Now I can get logged into the admin page on my phone (only by using the mobile address, if I use the regular address even though browser detection is on, it doesn’t work), but when I’m there nothing works. If I click on “new post” it loads a page but there’s no fields to fill out. Click on “edit posts” and same list of navigation but no data..

    Any advice?? ??

  • Hi there,

So I think there are two issues here…

One might be the fact that the blog is down in the /wp directory. There was a possibility of subdirectories confusing the detection, but this should be solved in v1.1.3

The second is that your input fields are not showing in the new post form. That is a concern, since it’s been quite successful on most devices. May I ask which Blackberry you are using?

And if you access the mobile version of the admin panel with your desktop browser, do they appear OK?

Sorry – more questions than answers here, but I am just trying to get to the bottom of your unusual issue.

I figured the /wp directory was causing SOME problem. I WIll upgrade to v1.1.3 to see if that corrects it.

As for the other, I am using a Blackberry Curve. However, when I login on the desktop, it’s the same thing. I got to where I could login, but if I clicked any of the links, no input fields were available.

Thanks for the response, hopefully we can get to the bottom of this because I adore this plugin if it works!

I upgraded to the newest version of the plugin and now I’m getting the 404 error again, which is what I got before because of my /wp directory.

Should I go ahead and change the file(s) again to make it work with /wp? I thought this change was supposed to fix that. Let me know what you think!

After changing it to the write directory, I am now faced with the same issue – I get logged in and can click on each of the areas but there are no input fields. When attempting on the desktop browser I get the same thing, so it’s not just my BB.

    Suggestions?

Oh, also, when I have it set to browser detection, it doesn’t work on my BB, I go to the normal site. It only works at all if I go to my “mobile” domain.

To find your user-agent, go to https://whatsmyuseragent.com/ (it should be simple enough to use on a mobile device)

Having using the WordPress Mobile Pack for a while. But for some days now the mobile site displays not available. What could be the cause?

    Bump

Hi I am having the same issue. The installation is in the folder wp and I can log into the admin but it then trys to go to the admin pages off the root and does not put in the wp folder. If I manually add it it will find the page but no subsequent pages. Like the plugin but this is a killer.
