• I am trying to make the register, profile, login pages secure. I’m using Magic Members plugin. Since these don’t show up as Pages (when you go to Pages from the Admin links), I’m not sure how to force ssl for these pages. We’re trying to sign up members using Authorize.net and Magic Members but I need to make these links https.

If you go to https://www.membertravel.com and click on Membership and then Join Now, the Join Now is setup to go to:

    https://membertravel.com/login/?action=register

(you can see the https in the bottom of your browser window)

But when you actually click on it, it takes you to http, not https

I can see how you can take an actual page and force ssl. I did it on the Individual Membership page (go to Membership, Individual Membership)

    So confused…

I did as you instructed, I went to the site, clicked on Membership and then Join Now, and it seems to be staying on HTTPS.

I’m going to assume you had the ‘Force SSL Exclusively’ option on before, and now that it’s off, the page stays on HTTPS.

Is this correct? If not, some custom modification to support Magic Members may be in order.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, I must not have checked the box to notify me of follow up posts. I’ve been working through a few things but now I’m trying to fix new problems that have shown up.

Have you had any complaints about your plugin breaking the media uploader?

I deactivated all plugins and the media uploader worked fine until I activated WordPress https again.

I haven’t actually, but I haven’t really done any testing with it. Are things simply not uploading, or is the uploader itself breaking?

Im having the same issue with my ssl on magic member. In google chrome it shows this error “the browser shows us that the page is not fully secure. “Your connect to https://www.mywebsite.com is encrypted with 256-bit encryption. However, this page includes other resources which are not secure. These resources can be viewed by others while in transit, and can be modified by an attacker to change the behavior of the page. “

So what can I do about this? no one form magic members will email me back about this or any of the other major issues Im running into..
