• Hi
    Cool plugin.
It’d be great if there was an option in the settings to default ‘Force SSL’ to ‘on’.
Also, got an issue with the TinyMCE Advanced plugin where the wordpress-https doesn’t convert all media/asset files for TinyMCE Advanced to the HTTPS version, haven’t looked in to it yet though.
    Thanks again
    Matt

    Hey Matt,

Just out of curiosity, are you requesting this feature so that you can make your whole website HTTPS? You can actually do that without the plugin by changing your Site URL in the General settings in the WordPress admin panel to be ‘https://’ rather than ‘https://’.

I’m not sure if there’s any need to default all the pages to HTTPS. I can’t imagine a situation where someone may want all of their pages HTTPS, except a few. Usually, it’s the other way around.

However, convince me otherwise and I’ll consider adding it. ??

Also, the attachment bug will be fixed in the next version. I hope to have it out very soon, but I have a few more bugs to fix before I release it.

Thanks for downloading, and thanks for the feedback. Greatly appreciated. ??

    Hey Mike

No – I have seen that feature thanks.

I’ve built a site for a client and who’s not particularly aware of all the little settings in WordPress. Any pages or posts that he creates, I’d like them to be SSL by default, as more often than not they will be in the logged in area that should be served via SSL.

So the public pages which I built are published and non-SSL. But now I’ve finished my work and he’s maintaining it, I was thinking it’d be ideal if the default setting for ‘Force SSL’ when creating new pages was ‘on’.

    Perhaps it’s an edge case.

Thanks again Mike, keep up the great work.
    Cheers

    Hey Matt,

Well, one good example to add a feature is good enough for me. I’ll work it into the next version and update this topic when the new version is released.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Sweet.

It crossed my mind that you could potentially break the default setting in to two settings between posts/pages to be more useful to other useres, but I don’t specifically need that difference.

    Thanks again
    Cheers

The next version of the plugin is taking a while, but it will be a very big update. I have some surprises in store for my lovely users. ??
