[Plugin: WordPress Hit Counter] WP Hit Counter is totally unreliable

WP Hit Counter stat DOESN’T reflect the accurate no. of Hits! The stat is actually is much much more than the actual no. of hits. For ex., if the latter is 400 the former will be something like 1900! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!!!

I’ve checked: Count only unique visitors? (resets every 24h)
I’ve not checked: Count visits from wp-admin?

Btw, I just want to know whether the plugin is counting every page that a visitor visits as a Hit too? Coz, I am interpreting the counter(rightly or wrongly) as an indicator of Unique Visits.

Besides, the plugin displays all the counter images when you click Hit Counter in the Dashboard. This unnecessarily uses up CPU resources & takes a loooooot of time to display the page.
