• I regularly get the problem that when updating the site (plugins or core) or even only making slight modifications, that I get blocked.

My IP address changes regularly so it is not an option to keep white-listing my IP after every change.

I would like it if I can say that ‘UserX’ and ‘UserY’ should be allowed for all queries. I know this have the potential to leave the site open (when a hacker gets access to your account), but if they have access to an Admin account, they can also disable this plugin.

  • I had that problem, also. My IP address changes occasionally, and I was blocked when trying to update plugins (I was supposedly launching and sql injection attack!). I ended up disabling the plugin and my reactivate at a later time.
