[Plugin: WordPress Facebook Like Plugin] The fb_xd_fragment Since Update to 0.4

  • I have foolishly upgraded the 0.3 version into 0.4 and my Google Analytics are a complete mess. I noticed that Google now sends traffic to pages appended with this fragment which is a blank page, ultimately screwing over my potential visitors who are likely to just leave and never come to my site again. An unfixable disaster already, but how I can prevent it from totally destroying my site?

  • Try Google for “fb_xd_fragment bug” and you’ll get a load of posts contemplating the problem and offering bug fixes. But the best way to circumvent the issue is just using the iframe method to embed FB functions. That said, stay away from the new Send button, because that only work with FBML which is causing the problem.
