[Plugin: WordPress Download Monitor] Will not allow me to stick download link into a streaming audio

  • I use Download Monitor to track plays on the mp3 podcasts I stream on my site. Up until now, I have had no problem grabbing the download links generated by Download Monitor and streaming them in whatever streaming player I’m in the mood to use (presently I’m favoring Dewplayer). Suddenly I’m finding that these links no longer work in any of the streaming players I’ve tried. The download links work, but I’m not allowed to stream. I am quite puzzled by this!

    I tested the links with some epub files and it seems that the problem is ALL downloads are being forced, whether I specify that’s what I want or not.

    I reverted to the previous version of Download Monitor and I’m still having this issue. I suspect it has something to do with how the plugin interacts with WordPress 3.4.2, but I’m not sure how to safely revert to 3.4.1, so I can’t verify that.

    Is anyone else running 3.4.2 running into the issue of downloads being forced?
