[Plugin: WordPress Download Monitor] Sorting downloads by date DESC in download_page

  • Hello.

    I need help sorting the documents by date and descending, that means I would like the last document I uploaded to be displayed first.

    It’s currently displaying the documents by hits. It displays older documents with more hits than the recently uploaded.

    I’m using [download_page query=”orderby=date%order=desc”] but does not work.

    download page only has a ‘default_order’ attribute – no others.

    I am having similar problems with Download Monitor. Am using the plug in to download .pdf newsletter archives. Had to set up 2 separate ‘catagories’ per year to get all 6 issues to show up. For some years, the individual ‘issues’ uploaded and sorted fine, but then in other ‘years’ (categories), the dated issues are all messed up. Can’t figure out how to fix them (sort them) so they show up in order (ie — Jan-Feb, Mar-Apr, May-June issues).

    As I’m not a techie…don’t quite understand jolley_small response. Am I just stuck with having some of my issues listed in order and others just all screwed up?

    Does Jolley_Small’s response mean that there is now (easy) way to sort the downloads on download_page? Is it automatically sorted by number of downloads?
