[Plugin: WordPress Download Monitor] redirect alternative for members files

    Have an issue with using Download Monitor for members files…

    The referrer concept is great if people have already signed up, but NOT if you want them to register, then get redirected back to the downloads page, OR automatically start the download after registration.

    So instead of using:
    wp-login.php?redirect_to={referrer}

    I need to send people to:
    wp-login.php?action=register

    Tried some workarounds but it seems like there are too many variables. Any solutions or does this require major revision of the plugin?

    I am having the same problem and the plguin does not even seem to save my preferences.
    Does anyone have the same problem? Or a solution to correct this?
    I am trying to implement a redirect to the page the user comes from with:
    wp_login_url( get_permalink() )
    but as I said it does not even save this or any other configuration I try to change.

    I’m having the same issue, the visitor needs to register first and after registration needs to be referred to the download file instead of the profile page.

    Does anyone perhaps already have a solution for this? Megaworks, did you manage to have a work around? I also tried to find a solution with an auto login on Register Plus Redux which I’m using for the registration form, but unfortunately none of that is helping.

    Anyways, if anyone can help out that would be awesome!

    I’ve been searching for the same need : signing up before download, and i just found an issue that works !! you can use for every need : use the wonderful plugin “Theme my login” !!
    1°) specify the page of login in downlaod monitor
    2°) in setting of “Theme my login”, choose a redirection URL for the different kind of user
    and smile !
