[Plugin: WordPress Download Monitor] it’s not downloading mp3’s, but playing them

    Push! I have the same problem! How can I resolve it? Any solutions?

    Much people have itunes and quicktime, but quicktime put entries in to the firefix configuration file to play mp3s or other audio files in firefox.

    Set custom field ‘force’ to 1 on the edit download screen. Only works with locally hosted files.

    @jolley_small – thanks for pointing that out. Worked perfectly with a .mov file for me as well. This should be in the documentation.

    and what can we do if the files aren’t locally hosted?

    @mister Beba – do you ask for the same problem you had in the first place or just adding a new download?

    If it’s the same problem as in the first place, I don’t think it matters whether the file is on your sever or not. This is achieved with a custom field value which should apply to all file links.

    If your asking for adding a file to your downloads that isn’t on your server just select add an existing file and point it to the address where it’s hosted.

    @jolley_small – any idea on this issue with the custom permalink? Your help would be appreciated.
