[Plugin: WordPress Backup to Dropbox] Authorized by Dropbox api but thinks it failed

Very frustrating experience so far. Plugin asks to authorize on dropbox.com which happens successfully. Then when I come back to the site and click continue it fails and wants to authorize again.
