I’ve installed the plugin and validated my amazon credentials, but placing the shortcode on a page doesn’t make the carousel, etc appear, just the actual shortcode. Using visual mode, the amazon button is there but nothing happens when I click on it.

Hi, you’ll have to provide additional information on how your website is setup, a link to the site itself would be helpful as well to determine the issue you are having with the plugin Short Codes.

I’m using the Contrast Theme. Sites on a staging server so you can’t get to it. Other plugin shortcodes work.

Making a new post this morning, I see that the Amazon Quick Links block is working, I can search and insert a link into the post. Though I don’t see my Amazon Associate code in the link.

    [amazon-carousel] still isn’t working.

First your associate tag/code will not be in the Short Code it will get inserted when the link is rendered on viewing, are you saying when you view the post/page that the link isn’t using the associate tag you entered in the WP – Amazon > Settings page of the admin?

Second please send me the exact amazon-carousel code you are using and I’ll run it locally in my environments to give it a test to see if there is something wrong with the syntax. All ShortCode in the plugin is rendered through the same class in the backend so I find it strange that links would function but not the carousel widget.

The exact code I’m using is what I wrote before [amazon-carousel] copy&paste from the documentation.

I do see my Assoc ID in the tag= part of the link.

Poking at it some more, the Insert Image functionality isn’t working properly, all I get is the title of the book, no image or image code. Only works if I switch to HTML mode.

Hi, sorry I always seem to forget putting in the closing tag to the ShortCode in my examples. Please try [amazon_carousel /] and it should work for you without any issues.

Thanks for pointing out the Image Link is not functioning on the Visual Editor I will look into that and get a fix for it put into the next release.

when you can use the plugin for the Italian??

One mistake was using [amazon-carousel] with a dash rather than an underscore, it’s both ways in your docs. Switching to correct tag brought up the amazon flash object, no need for the slash.

Thanks for pointing that out I’ll make sure to update all my documentation.
