  • Have you set the option directly after installing WATS or you have set it up later after few tickets had already been created? I would need more details to be able to troubleshoot.

Actually, I’ve set up WATS twice last week on two different domains.

Once I set the numbering after entering 2-3 tickets. The other time it happened even after I set numbering before I entered my first ticket.

Found the pattern! A dash in the title causes the number to disappear. When I replaced it with a colon :, the numbering returned. Can you fix this? I often use dashes.

Thanks for the details, helped a lot! The issue was present with all characters encoded through wptexturize issue. I had hard time understanding what was happening but that’s ok now, the issue is fixed. The fix will be available with next release that will be published once I would have a bit more content to deliver.

Nice to know I still have my programmer’s “chops”. ??

What are you planning to add in the next release and when (approximately) might that be?

I don’t know, I would like to wait a bit to have a bit more content… I have already published 50 releases in less than a year, sometimes 3 times a week… I think it is better to have at least a minimum content for a new release, isn’t it? Anyway, it shouldn’t take weeks, hopefully before the end of the month…

    new release is available!
    cheers!

    firebird75,

I am fairly new to WordPress, and am developing a site for a telecommunications client. Their wanting to have a “secure” side of the site, where their customers can log-in…create a username and password. After logging in, they want their customers to be able to submit project requests, check on the status of a repair, etc….and this only be visible to the customer who submitted it and a telecommunications representative. It sounds a lot like what this ticket system offers, but how do you recommend I go about setting it up in this manner. Where they client has to create a username and password first….before they can go into this “secure” side? Please let me know your thoughts on this.

    Thanks abunch!

If you want to allow users to create users directly, just allow site registration. This is a common WP parameter that you can set to enable users to register by themselves.

Now with regards to features, I think WATS is a good option to achieve what you want…
